A couple of images of the paper while the fan is on underneath, the light and way it moves changes alot and I want to think about this more and use it, sound is also being considered as I would like all senses to be working.

Inky business.

first trial at drawing on the paper, I love the stain effect of the ink on the waxed paper, I am going to experiment with other papers and inks or paints through out the week, either with or without the fan blowing the paper.
Other ideas are brewing like a cup of builders tea.

The sea.

The Sea on a wild day.

Say hello and wave goodbye.......

This is my work for now.... it is hammock like when you first see it, but when the fan blows it moves the waxed paper, I have the one end lower which encourages the top end to blow in causing the wave motion, its almost like a sound wave. I also like the way the light falls on it as it moves, I am going to experiment with light and also see if I can hang it to see how that effects the motion.

Thinking of what to do ...............

A new term, a new place, a change in direction, for now.
I have now been at Margret St for over a month, it hasn't been easy, the change has been huge, we no longer have a brief to work from we are left to our own devices apart from one tutorail a week and a lecture, its very strange to say the least, but Im getting into a routine now, and have made a piece of work so I now feel I am part of the uni.
By the sea is my favourite place, a day trip to Tywyn gave me the excuse of taking lots of photographs and making a short film, my piece of sculpture is wave based, using a fan to blow paper in a wave style. At the moment it is on a frame, but I would like it to be hanging from the ceiling as I feel this would make it seem free of all ties like the sea its self.
